As a First Generation College Student, Rayshawn became the first person in his family to receive a college degree from Otterbein College; he majored in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology; he went on to earn two additional master's degrees.

As an Empowering Life Coach, Rayshawn focuses on strengthening successful outcomes for clients. He offers a tiered program containing three levels of competency  and practice.

He became an Award Winning Author in 2015; he was recognized by “In the Margins Official List - Top Ten.” Coming From Where I'm From is a compilation of pain, resilience, struggle and forgiveness of himself, and others. It is an inspiring story of a man that learns valuable life lessons as he migrates along his personal trail of heartache. It is the story of a man that turns countless tear-filled sleepless nights into fuel and motivation to create a better life for himself. This story reaches across cultural norms and demographics and speaks to everyone’s spirit of tenacity and triumph while overcoming insurmountable odds.

Offering clinical support, he uses his skills as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist and Addiction Therapist to meet the needs of his clients. He owns Pathways Counseling & Consulting Services, an individual practice

Rayshawn received the honor of being recognized as an African-American Hall of Fame Recipient from his Alma Mater, Otterbein College; Rayshawn interacts with Otterbein's African American Student Union, the Offices of Student Affairs and Greek Life, and is a key role player in developing the Alumni Network. 

He is also an Adjunct Professor of Criminal Justice; he has taught at Franklin University and Otterbein College, Ohio Christian University and Central State

Rayshawn is a Motivational Speaker who has spoken in front of a wide variety of audiences, inspiring and educating  Northern Kentucky University, Columbus State Community College, Como Elementary School, PEAK IA's in the District of CCS and National Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials Summer Conference. He continually seeks to work within the community, focused on outreach,  public speaking and implementing positive programs to share lessons (A.K.A. Roars of Truth and LIVEYOURTRUTH365) from his journey.

8. Rayshawn was a 3 year Letterman at Otterbein College in football, and he represented the college in two National All Staff football games in 2002, and 2003 as a running back.
