LionHeart: Otterbein University, Drug/Alcohol Education Class

    February 1, 2017

A proud alum, Rayshawn gives back to Otterbein University and gives a lecture about substance abuse to students who have been sanctioned by the Judicial Board for violation of the schools abuse policy; the class focuses on Substance Abuse Education.

As a First Generation College Student, Rayshawn became the first person in his family to receive a college degree from Otterbein College; he majored in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology; he went on to earn two additional master's degrees.

Offering clinical support, he uses his skills as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor to meet the needs of his clients. Experienced in organizational compliance with governing authority regulations, ODADAS, ADAMH, & ODJFS, and CARF. He owns Pathways Counseling & Consulting Services, an individual practice.

Rayshawn received the honor of being recognized as an African-American Hall of Fame Recipient from his Alma Mater, Otterbein College; Rayshawn interacts with Otterbein's African American Student Union, the Offices of Student Affairs and Greek Life, and is a key role player in developing the Alumni Network.

Rayshawn stated, "It's been a pleasure serving my Alma Mater now for the past 7 years facilitating the drug/alcohol education class."

Rayshawn sends his gratitude to the Office of Student Affairs for the invitation to give back and educate students to make healthy choices with their lives.
